Jake also doesn't reach out to Post to tell him he's going to deliver his merchandise on camera. He knows that everything he's done shouldn't have been done, but tries to play the victim every time. Jake doesn't reach out to his neighbors to tell them he's going to be a loud obnoxious asshole the entire time he's living there, then gets upset when they don't reach out to him to tell him to quiet down. And even when he says he did mess up by uploading the Post video he still didn't remove it. It's just insane to me that this guy holds no accountability for anything he does.
Post Malone- Post never reached out, so I did nothing wrong.Įveryone sharing Jake's video of the front of Post's house- They're just as bad as me, the guy that filmed his house. Jumping on the news van- That's just "on camera" jake Any complaint is just by jerk neighbors that cause drama. Just noticed how much Jake Paul plays the victim in almost every situation and even victim blames. I'm glad Jake kept it to a short victory vlog, but it still rubbed me the wrong way. They really do just cut him off mid-sentence to share the moment. I get that it's a big deal, but this man took time out of his day to come and share his point, at least let him finish before kindly stepping aside for the celebration. My biggest gripe was how Ethan kept cutting off the reporter regarding Jake hitting 10 mil. Either neither platform lasts long enough to matter or they exist so long those records become meaningless. both records that will be quickly broken thanks to inflation (of both USD and YouTube fanbase). He wants to be the youngest billionaire and the fastest YouTuber to 10 million. Additionally, I find his ambitions and goals to be particularly weak. He argues "that's Jake Paul the character on screen" which is probably to an extent, but still doesn't excuse any of his behavior or attitude regarding his neighbors and going to Posts's house. It's hard to take anything he says seriously when his trust was dramatically eroded from all his exaggeration. But he still has some difficulty making his points very explicit, and seems to be doing a lot of back-peddling and attempts to skew the truth. Yes, he seemed more mature and well-spoken than his vlogs, absolutely. However, I have to disagree with others who said Jake looked mature or intelligent. It's another perspective outside just H3 and Jake, and a very informative one. I think he also does a good job in politely disproving some of the lies Jake Paul was pushing (or even believing) such as most of the neighbors actually liking Jake and having no issues. The section with the interviewer is very interesting, since you get to see another rational side to the argument. They discuss things like filming Post Malone's house and it's a very interesting back and forth, and Ethan makes his points very clear but still knew the right time to back off without just arguing one point too much, while Jake is pretty frank about his position on whether he would take it down. Ethan shows good restraint for the most part through the interview to keep things on track without devolving the conversation too much. He's ready with some instances of what he wanted to discuss with Jake, they have a rational back and forth, Jake concedes to some mistakes but defends other things he's done. I think it's worth it if you're interested in the situation with Jake Paul at all.įirst, Ethan is relatively well prepared for the interview. I don't really perceive what Chris said to be entirely contradictory to what Jake said. Jake was just saying it's only three neighbors who really hated him. Jake did later on that these same people also said that they have complaints, but don't think negatively of Jake as a person. Also people in general are conflict-averse. If someone apologizes to me for something really annoying or shitty they did to me, I go "oh, don't worry about it, it's not a big deal!" Apologizing does amazing things. Think about it, if you apologize to someone you don't know well or at all, most of the time that other person is super gracious. He said that twice.Īlso I'm not sure that Jake is necessarily lying about everyone saying they didn't hate him. He was saying that out of all his neighbors, only three hated him. He didn't say he only has three neighbors total (this is immediatly obvious just seeing the neighborhood he lives in), and all his neighbors like him. Jake said he had like 3 neighbours tops and they were all chill with him,
